Adventure Gold (AGLD) serves as the native ERC-20 token for the Loot non-fungible token (NFT) project. Loot, conceived by social media network Vine co-founder Dom Hofmann, is a text-based, randomized adventure gear generated and stored on-chain. Unlike conventional NFTs, Loot intentionally lacks a front-end interface, images, statistics, or predefined functionality. Instead, it comprises a collection of 8,000 text-based NFTs, inviting the community to interpret and utilize them creatively. A multitude of derivative projects are emerging around Loot, expanding its ecosystem. Adventure Gold was introduced on September 2, 2021, offering each owner of a Loot NFT the opportunity to claim 10,000 tokens free of charge. In the initial days of trading, the value of this airdrop surged dramatically, reaching up to $70,000 per NFT. Will Papper, the founder of AGLD, expressed his intention to establish a benchmark for projects leveraging Loot by introducing a currency tailored for the decentralized gaming realm.
