Secret (SCRT) is a privacy-centric blockchain constructed on the Cosmos network. Its smart contracts, known as Secret Contracts, enable decentralized applications (DApps) to leverage confidential data on the Secret network, akin to smart contracts on other blockchains. However, Secret Contracts facilitate the transfer of encrypted inputs to encrypted outputs without revealing data, achieved through encrypted contract states during execution. The assurance of data privacy is ensured through the amalgamation of encryption protocols and key management within a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE). This capability empowers Secret Contracts to cater to various privacy-related use cases that conventional blockchains have struggled to accommodate. For example, mechanisms for private voting or credit scoring applications become viable as they avoid exposing sensitive user data on-chain through Secret.
