The Graph is an indexing protocol designed for querying data on networks such as Ethereum and IPFS, serving numerous applications in both DeFi and the broader Web3 ecosystem. It enables anyone to construct and publish open APIs, known as subgraphs, which applications can utilize GraphQL to query and retrieve blockchain data. Currently, there is a hosted service available for developers to easily commence building on The Graph, with the decentralized network scheduled for launch later in the year. The Graph presently supports data indexing from Ethereum, IPFS, and POA, with additional networks anticipated in the near future. As of now, over 3,000 subgraphs have been deployed by numerous developers, catering to DApps such as Uniswap, Synthetix, Aragon, AAVE, Gnosis, Balancer, Livepeer, DAOstack, Decentraland, and many others. The Graph's usage has experienced significant growth, exceeding 50% month-over-month, and recorded over 7 billion queries in September 2020 alone. The Graph boasts a global community, encompassing over 200 Indexer Nodes in the testnet and more than 2,000 Curators participating in the Curator Program as of October 2020. To support network development, The Graph secured funding from community members, strategic venture capitalists, and influential figures in the blockchain community, including Coinbase Ventures, DCG, Framework, ParaFi Capital, CoinFund, DTC, Multicoin, Reciprocal Ventures, SPC, Tally Capital, among others. Additionally, The Graph Foundation successfully concluded a public GRT Sale with participation from 99 countries (excluding the U.S.). As of November 2020, The Graph has raised approximately $25 million.
