Gnosis (GNO) specializes in constructing decentralized infrastructure on the Ethereum blockchain. Since its inception in 2015, the core focus of Gnosis has been on experimentation and the development of decentralized infrastructure to support the Ethereum ecosystem. Initially, Gnosis concentrated on building prediction markets to facilitate global access to accurate information. However, during the creation of the prediction market platform, it became evident that Gnosis needed to establish the necessary infrastructure to sustain it. Consequently, Gnosis Safe emerged as a solution born out of necessity. Operating as a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), Gnosis provides infrastructure for various decentralized applications (dApps) and develops products aimed at transparently guiding decisions regarding the development, maintenance, and governance of its ecosystem. In November 2021, both the xDAI and GnosisDAO communities voted to merge their dynamic ecosystems, resulting in the formation of Gnosis Chain: an Ethereum-compatible network that tackles scalability issues through robust engineering practices.
